Who introduced you to your first Flame?
A guy named Jens Peter Sjöberg who was the Flame op at the company I had just started working for.
When did you fall for your first Flame?
When Jens broke his leg and I could sit and play around with the box for two weeks.
Why did you fall in love with your Flame?
I like how you have pretty much all you need in one app. I used to jump between applications to solve a project, and it used to get pretty messy by the end.
No need for that when I´m on my Flame.
What is your proudest Flame moment?
When I won a big commercial gig for our company by doing some particle effects. I did them in just a couple of minutes and the client thought our pitch was the best by far. That landed us the big gig.
How did your Flame save the day?
Every time I work on a spot that needs some basic 3D but doesn't have the budget - and I can solve it - feels kind of good.
Or when I solve an insane amount of shots in record time for some music promo.
Favorite Flame project (my own):
A spot I did for a museum called "Moderna Muséet." Not the most advanced but nice none the less.
Favorite Flame project (by another artist):
I like that new Lexus spot with the pop-up book.
Were you ever unfaithful to your Flame?
Shake for CG-comping, but less now since the introduction of divide.
What keeps you coming back for more?
I just like the whole way the box works - its workflow and tools.
My Flame wisdom:
Check your animation for rouge keyframes before showing clients your clips, it will spare you a lot of embarrassment.
