On a varsity tour to a post facility in 2000 and we were given a demo in a Flame Suite. I secretly said to myself "I wanna be a Flame Op"
Why did you fall in love with your Flame?
Cos Flame still had a rep and she lets me do whatever I can think of.
What is your proudest Flame moment?
When the more experienced Flame guys asked me, "How did you do that?"
How did your Flame save the day?
I don't know of any job that needs to be completed in a ridiculous deadline being done on anything else but a Flame or Inferno. So how do you think Flame saves the day? It's the only system that gets the job done in the time you need it done!
Favorite Flame project (my own):
Too many to remember, but they're all great experiences. Nothing quite feels like the moment when the client approves it and you've delivered and they're happy. Almost like an ice cold beer on a scorching day.
Favorite Flame project (by another artist):
Everytime I see a good piece of work, its a new favourite, a new source of inspiration, a tiny moment of jealousy (I wanna get to do something like that!)
Were you ever unfaithful to your Flame?
Yes, unfortunately AFX does quite kick it in the mograph, design dept, but I still love Flame.
What keeps you coming back for more?
I'm a sucka for punishment, and having clients behind me waiting for me makes me feel like a magician with and audience. They smile when you pull a rabbit out of the hat!
My Flame wisdom:
Just make sure you have a tub of vaseline next to your stylus!
